Generations of Craftsmanship,
Evolved for Modern Spaces

Modularasoi did not begin as a modern interiors company. It began as one man, a set of hand tools, and a small workshop in Chandpole, Jaipur, in 1952. Everything we build today still carries his standard for honest, careful craftsmanship.

1952 · The Beginning

Where It All Started

In 1952, our founder, Nanag Ram Jangid, began working as a woodworker and furniture maker in Chandpole, one of the oldest and busiest trading areas of Jaipur. He started with very limited resources, a small workshop, basic tools, and the skills he had learned and sharpened through years of hands-on woodwork.

There was no inherited business, no shortcuts, and no large capital behind him. What he had was patience, discipline, and a genuine commitment to doing the work properly, piece by piece, customer by customer. That single workshop in Chandpole is the same ground our business still stands on today.

Traditional Craftsmanship

The Work That Built Our Name

Long before modular kitchens and factory-made cabinets existed in Jaipur, our founder was building furniture entirely by hand, piece by piece, to order.

Wooden Doors & Windows

Solid wood doors and windows built and fitted for homes and havelis across old Jaipur.

Traditional Beds & Dressing Units

Hand-built wooden beds and dressing tables, made to last for decades, not seasons.

Cupboards & Storage Furniture

Traditional wooden cupboards and storage units, built solid, well before modular systems existed.

Temple Furniture

Handcrafted wooden furniture and fittings for temples, made with particular care and attention.

Wedding & Event Furniture

Custom furniture built for weddings and family celebrations, a tradition that continues in Jaipur to this day.

Custom Wooden Furniture

One-off pieces built to a family's exact requirement, the same custom approach we still take today.

Early Clients

Trusted Across Jaipur, One Project at a Time

Reputation in Chandpole was built by word of mouth, not advertising. Over the years, our founder's work reached a wide range of customers.

The Next Generation

Passing Down the Craft

As the business grew, our founder's sons, our father and our uncle, learned the craft directly from him. Not in a classroom, but on the workshop floor, learning joinery, finishing and material selection the same hands-on way he had learned it himself.

They carried the business forward, took on more varied projects, and kept the same standard for craftsmanship that Chandpole had come to expect from our family's name.

From Tradition to Modern Interiors

How We Evolved

The tools changed. The materials changed. What did not change was the underlying discipline of building things properly.

1952

Traditional Woodwork

Hand-built doors, windows, beds and custom furniture from a small Chandpole workshop.

Next

Wider Project Range

The next generation expanded into hotels, restaurants and larger commercial furniture projects.

Later

Modern Materials

Adoption of modern boards, hardware and finishes alongside traditional joinery knowledge.

Today

Modularasoi

Premium modular kitchens, wardrobes and full interior solutions, built on the same family craftsmanship.

Modularasoi Today

Still in Jaipur. Still a Family Business.

Modularasoi is the modern continuation of that original 1952 workshop. We now operate from Narayan Vihar, Jaipur, and design and build a much wider range of premium interior solutions for homes and businesses, while the standard set in that first Chandpole workshop still guides every project we take on.

  • ✓ Modular kitchens and premium wardrobes
  • ✓ Home and full apartment or villa interiors
  • ✓ Office and commercial interiors
  • ✓ Hotel and restaurant furniture projects
  • ✓ Custom furniture, built the same way it always has been, to order

Why Our Heritage Matters to You

A business that has worked with wood, joinery and furniture in the same city since 1952 understands things a newer company simply has not had time to learn: how materials age, how joints hold up over decades, and how to build furniture that is meant to be lived with, not just photographed once.

When you work with Modularasoi, you are working with three generations of accumulated craftsmanship, applied to modern modular kitchens, wardrobes and interiors.
